BEAUTY BAR BABY – HIGHLIGHTERS REVIEW ✰

To start off, I would like to apologize for the length of time between posts recently.  I’ve had to take a step back to make an attempt to get some rest.

For this post, I’ll be talking about the brand, Beauty Bar Baby.  They have two storefront locations, one on etsy and another through their own domain that is their main shopping site.  For the sake of clarity, when I link to their products, I’ll link directly to their main shopping site.

For the last few months (because I’ve been horribly slow lately), I’ve been playing and using three of their highlighters.

For the most part, they provide the option of ordering your shade in the compact or not, the except to this rule is the Unicorns & Rainbows highlighter (which is a very large pan as you can see).  The great thing about these highlighters is that they also double as eyeshadow.  The three that I will be focusing on are Unicorns & Rainbows, Moon Flower, and Pretty in Nude (which for some reason is only on their etsy storefront).

As you can tell, the three have been used quite a bit.  I often use Pretty in Nude and Moon Flower as eyeshadow instead of highlighter and when I do use them as highlighter, I usually layer them very lightly over a liquid highlighter because they are that pigmented.  Moonflower has a grey-purple to slight green shift to it that makes a beautiful eyeshadow or a rather dramatic highlighter (I usually use it as highlighter on my more dramatic days).  Pretty in Nude is a more champagne rose color that works well as a blush too if you used it properly, but I often use this as a eyeshadow as well.  It’s cute to layer over a silver based highlighter and gives a rosy look to your complexion, but be careful because a lot goes a long way (at least for me, but that’s because I have extremely pale skin).

These highlighters swatch and blend beautifully.  I use Unicorns & Rainbows rather regularly for my “work” makeup since it is pink and has gold glittery in it – it brightens up my face which is necessary when your shift starts before 7:00am.  And these highlighters last like a dream.  I will come home after a nine hour shift and they’re still sticking firm and it takes a good scrubbing with makeup remover to get it all off.

They’re definitely becoming one of my favorite brands!  Soon I’ll be trying their liquid lipsticks so I’ll be doing a review on those I’m sure!

Unicorns & Rainbows starts at $22 for just the pan (57mm) or $25 in the adorable compact (also 57mm).

Pretty in Nude is currently $7.99 for the 37mm pan (at time of writing, this is the only option in stock on Beauty Bar Baby’s etsy page).

Moon Flower is $8.99 to $20.99 depending on the size of the pan and whether or not you order the compact with it.

Beauty Bar Baby uses all natural and vegan ingredients.

Stay gilded foxes!
